CHC BOLD PAC Endorses Congressman Derek Tran

Fastest-growing Democratic political action committee targets this high-stakes race to ensure legislative majorities in 2026 Midterms

Garden Grove, CA – Today, CHC BOLD PAC, the political arm of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, endorsed frontline candidate and Democratic nominee Derek Tran, who represents the most competitive House seat in Southern California.

Recognizing Congressman Tran’s strong record advocating for the Latino community, including fighting against Donald Trump’s extreme mass deportation agenda and cuts to Medicaid and SNAP, CHC BOLD PAC’s endorsement signals strong grassroots mobilization for Tran’s reelection.

“I’m honored to receive the endorsement of CHC BOLD PAC,” said Congressman Tran. “Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans have shown time after time that their priorities are not aligned with the interests of working families. As the son of refugees, I relied on Section 8 housing, SNAP, and WIC. These programs made it possible for my family to pursue the American Dream and they are lifelines for millions of families today. It is cruel and unacceptable that this Administration has made these programs targets for their oppressive agenda. I’m proud to be a champion of the Latino community in Southern California, and I’m grateful for the trust and support from my colleagues with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus.”

“Derek Tran is the son of immigrants; he knows what it means to come to this country for the promise of a better life,” said CHC BOLD PAC Chairwoman Linda Sánchez. “He understands the experience of so many families across his district who have been targeted for being ‘other’ by this administration's inhumane deportation policy. He refused to hand ICE a blank check, and is proud to stand with the Latino community in his district. That is why we are endorsing Rep. Tran for re-election.”

California’s 45th Congressional District is a majority-minority district, where 28% of the district is Latino. Following the passage of Proposition 50, the district added over 15,000 new Hispanic voters throughout Southern California.
