California Fraternal Order of Police Endorses Congressman Derek Tran

Nation's largest sworn law enforcement organization supports Tran in his high-stakes race to ensure legislative wins nationwide

Garden Grove, CA – Today, the California Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) endorsed frontline candidate and Democratic nominee Derek Tran, who represents the most competitive House seat in Southern California.

Representing nearly 20,000 men and women in law enforcement across California, the FOP advocates for strengthened investments in public safety and policing. Congressman Tran has been a steadfast advocate for law enforcement, securing critical public safety resources across Orange and Los Angeles Counties.

“It is an honor to earn the support of the brave men and women in uniform with the California Fraternal Order of Police,” said Congressman Tran. “I hear from my constituents everyday how important it is that we take public safety seriously. That’s why I’ve prioritized and delivered on investments to community-based crime prevention strategies nationwide. I am proud to be in this fight with the CA FOP and to continue fighting for increased federal resources to support their heroic work.”

“We are proud to endorse Rep. Derek Tran,” said California State FOP President Roger Hilton. “As a U.S. Army Veteran, Rep. Tran understands the sacrifices our officers make to keep our communities safe, and he knows the importance of investing in local public safety. While in Congress, Rep. Tran has secured critical investments to improve emergency response and ensure our officers have the resources they need. The California State FOP is proud to endorse Rep. Derek Tran in this critical race.”

FOP’s endorsement in this critical race adds to a large coalition of law enforcement organizations backing Congressman Tran’s reelection, including from the Association of Orange County Deputy Sheriffs and the Association for Los Angeles Deputy Sheriffs.
