The largest association of deputy sheriffs and district attorney investigators in Orange County targets this high-stakes race to ensure legislative majorities in 2026 Midterms
Garden Grove, CA – Today, the Association of Orange County Deputy Sheriffs (AOCDS) endorsed frontline candidate Derek Tran, who represents the most competitive House seat in Southern California.
Representing over 4,600 active and retired sworn law enforcement officers, AOCDS represents deputy sheriffs and district attorney investigators across cities and unincorporated areas of Orange County. Recognizing Congressman Tran’s strong legislative record advancing policies that promote public safety, AOCDS’ endorsement adds to a growing coalition of public safety organizations backing Tran’s reelection, including support from the Association for Los Angeles Deputy Sheriffs.
“It is an honor to earn the endorsement of the Association of Orange County Deputy Sheriffs,” said Congressman Tran. “I’m proud to champion public safety legislation in Congress and stand with our law enforcement officers. As an Army Veteran, I know firsthand the sacrifices our public servants make to protect our communities, and I’m committed to securing federal resources to support their efforts.”
“Derek Tran has been a champion for our public safety officers, bringing back the resources they need to keep the peace,” said AOCDS President Juan Viramontes. “An Army veteran himself, he has sworn the oath to protect and defend the US Constitution and keep our communities safe, and that is what he has done in Congress. The Association of Orange County Deputy Sheriffs is proud to endorse Derek Tran.”
