Garden Grove, CA – Today, frontline candidate and Democratic nominee Derek Tran announced that his campaign hired organizing veteran Ethan Sternberg as Organizing Director, responsible for leading the organizing operation in the most competitive House seat in Southern California.
Sternberg will manage a robust, targeted field program, expanding Congressman Tran’s grassroots coalition, increasing direct voter contact, and strengthening relationships with new neighborhoods added following the passage of Proposition 50. Since the June 2 primary election, Team Tran has knocked over 3,411 doors and has dialed over 37,625 phones across CA-45.
“Southern California families support our campaign because they know Congressman Tran has delivered real results to lower costs, strengthen public safety, and defend our communities from the extreme MAGA agenda,” said Campaign Manager Jindalae Suh. “As we approach 100 days until the general election, Ethan’s expertise will build on our winning organizing operation that delivered in 2024 and in the recent primary election.”
“I’m honored to join Derek Tran for Congress as Organizing Director,” said Ethan Sternberg. “Over the next few months, our team will be connecting with voters across Orange and Los Angeles counties, sharing Congressman Tran’s story and commitment to bring down costs and invest critical resources in the community. I’m looking forward to strengthening the campaign's grassroots momentum and continuing the important work ahead.”
Sternberg was previously a field organizer with the North Carolina Democratic Party in the 2020 election cycle and is an alum of JB Pritzker for Governor and Sean Casten for Congress.
