ICYMI: Congressman Derek Tran Rallies Grassroots Supporters and Elected Officials in Cerritos

Garden Grove, CA – Frontline candidate and Democratic nominee Derek Tran kicked off a canvass rally on August 30, 2026, in Cerritos, California, with over 75 campaign supporters.

Recognizing Congressman Tran’s strong support from local leaders, he was joined by Cerritos Mayor Pro Tem Mark Pulido, Cerritos Councilmember Frank Yokoyama, Artesia Councilmember Ali Taj, and candidate for Artesia City Council Melissa Ramoso.

Team Tran knocked on 1,582 doors and made contact with 334 voters in Cerritos.

“Our grassroots campaign is fueled by the massive work of volunteers who knock on voters’ doors every weekend,” said Congressman Tran. “They believe in protecting the America we deserve – where the promises of the American Dream are a reality for all. We must continue the momentum. We must keep our foot on the pedal. We will run through the finish line, and with your help, we're going to keep CA-45 blue.”

Congressman Tran has secured critical investments for the City of Cerritos. In March, Tran secured $3.15 million to renovate the Del Amo Boulevard Bridge, serving the communities of Cerritos, Lakewood, La Palma, and Cypress. Over the next two months, Team Tran will continue to connect with voters across Orange and Los Angeles Counties, sharing Tran’s story and commitment to investing resources in the community.
