Congressman Derek Tran Secures $250,000 to Strengthen Public Safety Infrastructure in Fullerton

Garden Grove, CA Today, frontline candidate and Democratic nominee Derek Tran, who represents the most competitive House seat in Southern California, secured $250,000 for the City of Fullerton to strengthen its public safety infrastructure.

This funding will improve street infrastructure, fix damaged sidewalks, build accessible curb ramps, and renew existing roadway drainage. Congressman Tran is committed to bringing back federal investments to Southern California to improve public safety and the lives of working families.

“Every community deserves safe infrastructure that people can count on,” said Congressman Tran. “This critical public safety investment will make Fullerton safer and more accessible for everyone. I’m proud to bring federal dollars back for working families, especially when they are being squeezed more and more by the policies of this Administration. I’ll keep fighting to ensure our local cities have the resources they need to thrive.”

Congressman Tran has been a champion of public safety across California’s 45th Congressional District. In May, Tran secured nearly $1 million for Artesia’s new emergency operations center, improving the city’s emergency response capabilities. In January, Tran delivered over $2 million for various public safety infrastructure projects across Orange County. Tran’s commitment to keeping communities safe has earned him the endorsements of the Association of Orange County Deputy Sheriffs and the Association for Los Angeles Deputy Sheriffs, the largest associations of deputy sheriffs in Orange and Los Angeles Counties.
