National labor group targets this high-stakes race to ensure legislative majorities in 2026 Midterms
Garden Grove, CA – Today, the Western States Regional Council of Carpenters (WSRCC) endorsed frontline candidate Derek Tran, who represents the most competitive House seat in Southern California.
Representing nearly 90,000 union carpenters in Southern California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, Colorado, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Alaska, and Wyoming, the endorsement from WSRCC signals Congressman Tran’s strong legislative record fighting for working families, standing up for the right to collectively bargain, and advocating for strong wages and safe working conditions.
“It is an honor to earn the endorsement of the Western States Regional Council of Carpenters,” said Congressman Tran. “In Congress, I’m proud to fight for labor to ensure they have strong wages, safe working conditions, and comprehensive benefits. I’m committed to standing up for hardworking Americans especially as Congressional Republicans increase everyday costs and threaten the right to collectively bargain.”
“The Western States Regional Council of Carpenters is proud to support Derek Tran,” said Jacob Lopez, President of the Western States Regional Council of Carpenters. “We are united in the fight to raise standards for working families by protecting good-paying jobs, strong wages, and quality benefits. Derek has built his career standing up for workers when it matters most, and in Congress, he will fight to deliver results that strengthen our workforce and our economy.”
