League of Conservation Voters Launches Advertising Campaign Supporting Congressman Derek Tran

National climate advocacy group targets this high-stakes race to ensure legislative majorities in 2026 Midterms

Garden Grove, CA – Today, the League of Conservation Voters (LCV) announced a digital advertising campaign supporting frontline candidate Derek Tran, who represents the most competitive House seat in Southern California.

The advertising campaign will highlight Congressman Tran’s Energy Bills Relief Act, which reinstates energy tax credits terminated under Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans’ pro-billionaire “One Big Beautiful Bill,” provides direct financial assistance to Americans to ensure their power does not shut off, and requires data centers to pay for their own utility costs.

“Under Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans’ reckless leadership, energy bills have continued to surge for millions of working class Americans,” said Congressman Tran. “I’m proud to deliver much-needed economic relief at a time when Donald Trump’s pro-billionaire agenda has blatantly ignored the realities of climate change, neglected clean energy investments, and has left Americans struggling with paying necessary bills. I thank the League of Conservation Voters for highlighting the important work of bringing immediate relief to the hardworking Americans in CA-45.”

“Congressional Democrats are stepping up to provide relief from skyrocketing energy costs for hardworking families,” said Sara Chieffo, Senior Vice President of Government Affairs at League of Conservation Voters. “These members of Congress are meeting people where they are by prioritizing affordable, clean energy solutions. Extreme congressional Republicans who have followed the lead of President Trump and prioritized polluters over people, should reverse course and join these members of Congress to boost support for families and for clean energy solutions that help lower costs and protect communities.”

LCV’s announcement comes as Congressman Tran retains a 97% lifetime score from the reputable climate organization, recognizing his strong legislative record advancing clean energy climate policy.
