ICYMI: Congressman Derek Tran Slams President Trump’s Deranged Invitation for Iran to Bomb Southern California

Tran, an Army veteran and member of the House Armed Services Committee, demanded accountability after President Trump called for Iran to “take out” Los Angeles and San Diego

Garden Grove, CA – In case you missed it, Frontline Member and Democratic nominee Derek Tran spoke with Nexstar CA slamming President Trump’s recent speech in Nebraska calling for Iran to “take out” Los Angeles and San Diego.

Congressman Tran, a U.S. Army veteran and member of the House Armed Services Committee, demanded accountability and called Trump’s remarks “treasonous.”

  • We all heard him clearly. He stated, “let them attack LA,” “let them attack San Diego.”

  • You know, you don’t joke about something like that at a rally to get applauses.

  • This is a serious thing. You are the commander-in-chief of our military, and you are the president of the United States of America calling our adversary to attack us.

  • There has to be some accountability for that.

Congressman Tran has consistently called for the end to President Trump’s war of choice in Iran, voting multiple times on war powers resolutions to hold the Administration accountable. California’s 45th Congressional District includes two military installations, the Seal Beach Naval Weapons Station and the Los Alamitos Joint Training Base.
