The largest association of deputy sheriffs and district attorney investigators in the country targets this high-stakes race to ensure legislative majorities in 2026 Midterms
Garden Grove, CA – Today, the Association for Los Angeles Deputy Sheriffs (ALADS) endorsed frontline candidate Derek Tran, who represents the most competitive House seat in Southern California.
Representing over 8,000 sworn law enforcement officers, ALADS is the largest association of deputy sheriffs and district attorney investigators in the United States. Recognizing Congressman Tran’s legislative record advancing policies that promote public safety, ALADS’ endorsement adds to a growing coalition of public safety organizations backing Tran’s reelection.
“As an Army Veteran, it is an honor to earn the endorsement of the Association for Los Angeles Deputy Sheriffs,” said Congressman Tran. “In Congress, I’m proud to be a champion of public safety and advocate for our law enforcement officers who play a critical role in protecting our communities. We must ensure they have the federal resources to effectively and reliably perform their duties, including safe working conditions and wages that recognize their sacrifice.”
“The Association for Los Angeles Deputy Sheriffs is proud to endorse US Army Veteran and small business owner Derek Tran for Congress,” said ALADS President Tony Meraz. “Derek’s military background gives him a deep appreciation for the sacrifices our officers make daily. In Congress, he has championed community policing, brought funding back to the district to improve mental health services, and worked to ensure our peace officers have the necessary resources they need to serve our communities.”
