WATCH

Tran’s first ad of the 2026 general election, “Many Lives,” highlights his lifetime of service to the community: serving in the U.S. Army, defending working people as a workers’ rights attorney, and fighting corruption as a Congressman

Garden Grove, CA – Today, the Derek Tran for Congress campaign released its first ad of the 2026 general election, “Many Lives,” highlighting Frontline Member and Democratic nominee for California’s 45th Congressional District, Derek Tran’s, lifetime of service to his community from the U.S. Army, to the courthouse, to the halls of Congress.

Ad Script:

“I’ve lived many lives.

“The son of refugees who worked at his parents’ store after school. Who became a soldier because this country gave my family a chance. Who became a workers’ rights attorney, fighting for immigrants and working people.

“Now I take that fight to Washington against the corruption. Against special interests rigging the system.

“I’m Derek Tran, and I approve this message because I’ve never forgotten where I’ve been.”

“Many Lives” is airing on streaming and digital platforms across Orange and Los Angeles Counties through October.

California’s 45th Congressional District is one of the most competitive House seats in the country and is identified as a 2026 Frontline race by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. In 2024, Tran flipped the seat from red-to-blue by 653 votes (a 0.2% margin) in the second-closest and most expensive House race ($46 million spent) in the country.
